IGL Video Content
Workshop

Built around our Video Content System

More and more businesses are bringing video in-house — not for big brand campaigns, but for the day-to-day content that keeps them visible. Social updates, internal comms, talking head pieces. The kind of output that needs to happen regularly, not when a budget gets signed off.

The problem is that most teams haven’t been shown how to do it properly. Equipment sits underused, content is inconsistent, video lacks clear objectives, there’s no link with other marketing content and video becomes a lengthy process. Teams know they should be filming more but aren’t sure what, how often, or to what standard. Video becomes something that starts with good intentions but never quite finds its feet.

Getting better at filming is only part of it. A big challenge is knowing what you should be creating, when to create it, and how to do it in a way that’s actually sustainable. Day-to-day video content should take days to create, not weeks.

That’s why we run the IGL Video Content workshop — a full-day, practical system for creating consistent video content in-house for marketing and communications teams, HR, business owners, and anyone responsible for creating content. No previous video experience needed.

What We Focus On

We built this workshop around the reality of in-house production — real office environments, phones and entry-level cameras, real people on screen, basic knowledge of the video process. Not studio setups or equipment that lives in a flight case. We tailor the course to make sure we meet your team’s specific needs.

The day typically covers:

  • What actually goes wrong — and how to fix it before you hit record
  • Camera settings, framing and setup for both smartphones and DSLRs
  • Lighting fundamentals including a practical do’s and don’ts
  • Audio — the thing most teams overlook, and the biggest single upgrade you can make
  • Hands-on practical exercises
  • Video content systems to create consistent videos

Shifting How Your Team
Thinks About Video

The goal isn’t just better footage. It’s shifting your team’s mindset from “we should probably film something” to “this is already part of what we do”. In many businesses in-house video creation is reactive, leading to rushed projects and making the process a little stressful.  But with a good video content system in place its easy to know what to film and when.

That means planning video alongside your content calendar, filming around events and campaigns, batching content creation to save time, and getting more out of what you’re already doing.

For most businesses, the most effective approach is a combination: in-house production for regular, consistent output and professional production for key campaigns and high-impact work. The two should complement each other, not compete.

Who it’s
For

The workshop is designed for marketing teams, communications teams, business owners and anyone responsible for content creation. One-on-one or up to 12 people per session, delivered at your premises (virtual courses are available on request) with practical exercises to get hands-on feedback.

If you’re ready to make in-house video something your team does confidently and consistently — not perfectly, not expensively, just effectively — we’d love to hear from you.
